USAlD is looking to hire
Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm. seeks Jordanian specialists
for the USAlD-funded Jordan Cities implementing Transparent, Innovative, and Effective Solutions
(CiTiES) Project based in Amman and working in municipalities throughout Jordan.
Positions Available:
1) Procurement Specialist اخصائي مشتريات
Desired qualifications include:
Minimum five years of experience in purchasing in Jordan and obtaining quotations from
multiple suppliers.
Strong organizational, management and administrative skills.
Experience and/or good understanding of procurement procedures of international organization-
USAID experience is strongly preferred.
Flexibility. creativity. and the ability to maintain a rapid and demanding pace of work are also
required.
Ability to work in a professional and cordial manner with fellow staff members, visitors,
partner institutions including international and local government. NGOs, governmental
entities. support organization s. and the general public.
University degree is required.
2) Grants Manager مدير المنح
Desired qualifications include:
One to three years of experience in overseeing complex USAID development programs
and/or working with governing institutions.
USAID and/or donor funded grants management experience (pre and post award grants
management).
Strong leadership skills and prior supervisory experience.
Conduct workshops and develop training! capacity building material in both English and Arabic.
Proven ability to solve problems. analyze options and suggest solutions.
University/Baccalaureate degree is required.
3) Translator! interpreter مترجم
Desired qualifications include:
Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
Ability to provide high-quality consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.
Minimum two years of translating technical documents in related matters desired.
Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation in handling all assigned tasks.
Previous USAID or other international donor experience preferred.
BA in relevant field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience required.
