Position Overview

The person in this position is responsible to oversee all daily operations of the plant from production to assembly ensuring policies and procedures are followed. . In addition, the individual in this position will be responsible for developing the processes to overcome challenges and move the company forward with safety, quality and productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct and manage plant day to day operations for production, maintenance, quality and shipping and receiving.
• Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
• Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
• Commit to plant safety procedures
• Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets

• Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
• Develop production procedures per ISO standards
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma philosophies to reduce waste and improve quality
• Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concept

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field
• 6+ years of experience in field

Preferred qualifications:

• Related knowledge in furniture and carpentry
• Lean and Six Sigma Programs
• CAD/CAM
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact appropriately with users of various technical skill levels and to remains calm and courteous while working to resolve problems
