AMMAN ACADEMY TEACHER 2018-2019

All applicants for this position will be considered for the academic year 2018- 2019, and will sign contracts from now to begin in August 2018.

What Education/Experience do I need?

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree from a reputable university with an academic standing of good or above and majoring in one of the following subjects:

• English Literature
• Arabic Language

• Mathematics/ Actuarial Science
• Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or relevant degree
• Physics/ Nuclear Physics
• Biology/ Genetic Engineering
• Architecture
• Economics
• Master’s in Business Administration
• Education
• Psychology
• Social Sciences
• Humanities
• Art
• Drama
• Computer Engineering

All other degrees may be considered for vacancies for our kindergarten but applicants should be fluent English speakers.

Experience requirement

• Minimum of two years’ experience in an International School

• Fresh graduates and career shifters may be eligible for a number of positions

What is required for the position?

Teachers are expected to effectively deliver the school’s curriculum within the IB framework through a stimulating learning environment. Full training will be offered to ensure readiness by all successful applicants.

Teachers are expected to

• Provide a warm and supportive learning environment for students
• Contribute to the academic, pastoral and general development of the students
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis
• Attend meetings and professional development sessions
• Participate actively in extra-curricular activities, programs and projects which support the school programs and the development of the students
