Driver
2. Reporting Lines
The incumbent of this post is responsible to the Logistics & Security Coordinator or as may be required.
3. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with WCUK policies and procedures, the incumbent is responsible for:
A. Is required to drive any WCUK designated vehicle, as directed within the limitations of the local traffic regulations and the type of license held.
B. Cooperate and be of assistance to staff and visitors – assist in troubleshooting potential problems during daily business;
C. Report all maintenance needs of the vehicle to transport management on a regular basis;
D. Adhere to all safety and communication protocols as advised by WCUK & supervisor
E. Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to WCUK and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission in country of operation.
F. Is responsible of the efficient operation and cleanliness of the vehicle and the safety of its passengers and or freight.
G. Is the official custodian of the vehicle assigned to him.
H. Is responsible to ensure that relevant transport documents are properly completed in accordance with instructions.
I. Delivers and collects goods and mail in the area of operations;
J. Performs other duties as may be assignd.
4. WORK RELATIONSHIPS:
Inside WCUK: The Country Director, HR Manager, Finance Manager, Project Officers are responsible of providing technical advice, supervision and co-ordination for dispatch receipt and distribution of mail and goods, transport of passengers as well as vehicle usage, registration and licensing; visa business at Ministry and Embassy offices
Outside WCUK: External Stakeholders such as Za’atari staff and external suppliers whom are engaged with WCUK staff in an official workrelationship; Ministry and Embassy officials; Facilitation of staff issues as required
5. SUMMARY OF PROFILE
Academic and professional qualifications
(i) Succesful Completion of Secondary Education or Basic Education or any other equilevant certificate;
(ii) Must Possess a driving license (valid in the country of the duty station) to drive all types of vehicles to which assigned;
(iii) Must possess general basic knowledge of all types of vehicles.
Experience
At least three years experience in driving different types of vehicles.
Language
Good knowledge of English and Arabic Languages.
Competencies
(i) Ability to take initiatve and maintain acceptable relationship with all concerned;
(ii) Ability to understand rules and regulations and standards and to implement guidlines and instructions;
(iii) Ability to work under pressure and beyond official working hours.
