“About the Children’s Museum Jordan: The Museum is a national institution registered as an NGO and works in providing informal learning experiences to children aged between 1 and 12 years old. The Children’s Museum receives 300,000 visitors annually from schools and families from all backgrounds.
The Museum is open to the public six days a week and is located inside the King Hussein Park (www.cmj.jo) About the position: Under this position, the candidate will be reporting to the Senior Communications Officer.
As the Department seeks to hire the right candidate, to oversee the process of taking the Department to the next level. This includes but not limited to; creating graphics, designs and marketing materials for the Children’s Museum Jordan to achieve marketing goals, while maintaining the Museum’s identity in all communications.
Relevant Experience for the Position:
The best candidate for this position will have at least two years graphic design employment, preferably in an agency.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Create and develop original innovative designs and visuals that are in line with the Museum’s educational message and mission.
Create designs in different forms including: print & digital, etc.
Develop and create in-house dummies/ prototypes when needed for some print promotional material.
Keep accurate digital records for all projects/ jobs and maintain organized archiving and back up of all digital files.
Communicate with different departments when needed to understand and/or to explain the direction of requested design jobs.
Submit quality designs/ artworks in terms of: Alignment, text formatting, balance, unity, etc.
Focus on the details and logical linkage between the assigned content and the design layout & concept.
Makes sure to apply the visual marketing & communications principles while creating visuals and design jobs.
Makes sure deadlines are met, in coordination with the direct Manager/ Supervisor.
The willingness to accept feedback and make adjustments as necessary.
Perform any other tasks related to the job assigned by the direct Manager/ Supervisor
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Designer or any related field.
Excellent command of the English Language

Technical Skills:
Drawing Illustration skills
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
