Applications Functional Specialist
Job Description
- Work with project team(s) to outline scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, and timing.
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to prioritize work to resolve emergencies as they may occur.
- Participate in applications projects life-cycle and phases including requirements collection, solution design, solution development, user testing, solution go-live, and transition to support.
- Act and liaise with different IT and business groups in order to take corrective action to prevent or minimize system down time where necessary.
- Constantly communicate with business users to ensure that offered services are up to their expectations and look for opportunities for improvements.
- Monitor, retain, and improve upon IT KPIs, goals, and objectives.
- Have the ability to perform applications health checks, fine-tuning, configuration, monitoring, and administration.
- Participate in defining data protection policies, ensuring that an adequate backup and restore procedures are in place to protect data assets.
- Participate in developing and Maintaining applications documentation, keeping such documents up-to-date while retaining revision history.
- Perform duties and projects as assigned by direct manager.
- Willing to travel.
Skills
Work experience:
- 2+ years’ work experience in IT projects using well-established standards such as PMI and PRINCE2.
- Experience in translating user requirements into business solutions through the use of technology “Ability to write functional requirements”.
- Test and implement new application releases.
- Administrate/Access control groups and end-users based on access policies.
- Set-up and maintain SLAs with suppliers, Help in building agreements and SoWs from a functional point of view.
- Administrate/document all relevant information.
Preferred “Plus”:
- 2+ years’ work experience in working at enterprise-grade IT applications operations and support.
- Working experience within ITIL or other IT best practices frameworks.
- Working experience with Implementation of HR, Talent, and learning management systems.
- Experience with SuccessFactors implementation and Modules.
Skills:
- Systems Analysis, Systems Configuration, Technical Support, Excellent awareness of Projects life cycle and functional requirements writing skills.
- Effective Communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent English language.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management of Information Systems (MIS) is preferred.
