Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Documents financial transactions by entering account information and recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets while compiling required reports such as profit and loss statement.
- Verifies financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
- Posts and processes journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Updates accounts receivable and issue invoices.
- Assists in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Assists with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned.
- Updates financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
- Ensures confidentiality of information.
Qualifications:
B.Sc in Accounting and 3 to 5 years of experience. Must have management proficiency and attention to detail. Must be skilled in developing budgets and knowledgeable in legal compliance.
