The International Retail organization is building a team to help expand Amazon’s footprint in Jordan. Our QA/SDET team will play a pivotal role in this program, with the mission to build and execute a streamlined QA process for the new business initiative. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a team that will be responsible for building a successful, sustainable and strategic business for Amazon, from the ground up.
Who You Are
- You are a sharp, experienced people manager with strong problem-solving skills, a solid software testing foundation.

- You are a talented, detail, oriented and enthusiastic tester who is passionate about quality and is enthusiastic about the new cutting edge technology offered to consumers.
- As a QAM, you are responsible for working with business and development teams to understand product vision and requirements.
- Responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses that align with team’s vision.
- You will work with a team of quality engineering professions (QAEs and SDETs) to ensure the highest quality product delivery.
- You will work with remote, cross organization teams to achieve the desired product quality.
- You will also participate in operational excellence activities for the entire organization.
- Your knowledge and leadership while working with remote teams will be exemplary, and you will you work to bridge the communication gap between our worldwide teams, and help ensure consistency in our QA activities across multiple shores.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS or related field with over 7 years of experience software quality assurance and at least 2+ years in a QA Manager/lead role
- Strong QA background with experience in identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as SQL, Perl, Python, XML or Ruby
- Proficient in Object oriented programming and ability to write code in C, C++ or Java
- Highly effective at working with geographically distributed QA, business and development teams.
- Strong people management skills with a proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining high performing QA team consisting of QAEs and SDETs.
- Strong project management skills, preferably with experience in an agile development environment.
- Proven track record in identifying and implementing automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Excellent quality and release management skills.
- Established track record for delivering high quality products.
- Demonstrated ability to define and present metrics that help illuminate our quality and quality goals.

The RBS group in Jordan is an integral part of Amazon online product lifecycle and buying operations. The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The team’s primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.
Roles And ResponsibilityYou will be responsible for an Operations team supporting multiple categories that populates/ procures content for the Amazon Catalog, works with vendors to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of products, and interact directly with Amazon internal customers across the globe to deliver to their requirements and work directly with the Category team to ensure the overall health of the processes is good. Duties may include, taking part in planning, organizing and directing the work of subordinates or others, outline procedures and instructions on work received, make time estimates on new jobs received, check accuracy / quality of content creation / population done by others, ensuring records are maintained accurately, ensuring utilization of team is high, mentor and train new team members.

Technical requirements include expertise in HTML, XML, CSS, and Excel, plus the ability to learn our in-house tools quickly. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple projects at once, able to take direction, and work well with multiple teams.
Seller Central is a collection of applications that allow selling partners to manage their Marketplace inventory, orders, settings, etc.
Seller University (SU) is an education hub for Selling Partners featuring curriculum in video, PDF, and e-Learning formats covering the use of Seller Central-based tools, services, and programs. Seller University (SU) hosts content in three formats: 1) video (mp4), 2) PDF, 3) e-Learning (Storyline 360 only, SOP pending). SU content is crowdsourced from the owners of the products and services that are available to Selling Partners within Seller Central. It can cover any topic, but is typically in either an overview or a “how-to” format, giving Selling Partners high-level context and step-by-step guides respectively.
This role will support the Seller Services team, ensuring that all the SU content for Seller Central is available in Arabic and English and appeals to the selling partners. You’ll collaborate with other writers, product managers, UX designers, and program managers to develop global product or content.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnering with technical, product and business teams, Public Relations and Legal to define company policy related to customer issues
- Creating and maintaining the Amazon Seller University and Help Pages content that empower our selling partners to answer their own questions about our services
- Designing of Seller University videos and articles in English and Arabic
- Manage a fluid set of priorities as the business grows and changes
- Contribute other marketing copy and content as necessary
- Leading continuous improvement projects related to content accessibility, usability, completeness and branding
- Bachelor’s degree in writing, communications or another applicable field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience of 3 years in Editing and Writing
- Experience with a web-based content management system
- Experience with SharePoint, HTML, and Java
- Trouble-shooting and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Experience working in a collaborative team and directly with developers for implementation of designs.
